Synopsis
The culture of using milk, along with Buddhism, was brought to Japan by people who crossed the sea from China and the Korean Peninsula. Set in Tenpyoi period Japan, this animated film follows the story of how a friendship blossoms between Fukuji, a boy from a village that raises cows that crossed the sea, and Yumihiko, a boy from a Japanese village that grows rice, after their village is attacked by bandits, and how this leads to cooperation and exchange between people of different cultures.
