Renya Kunugi

About

Kunugi Renya (功刀蓮弥) is the main protagonist of Nidome no Jinsei wo Isekai de. He has been reincarnated into Eredora by God after dying at the age of 94 yrs on Earth as his soul was able to withstand the Walls of the World.

While on Earth, Kunugi Renya was the 14th successor of the Ittoryou Style of the Kunagi School and at the mere age of 13 yrs, he became the best swordsman from the whole school. Then at the age of 15 yrs, he went to China to learn various stealth and murder techniques and soon became part of one of the best armed and dangerous groups in the underworld. While being part of the underworld he killed so many people that just hearing his name people would run for their lives.

During World War 1 he enlisted in the army where he was recognized for his demonic strength as he had killed numerous people to the point of standing on a mountain of corpses with just his katana alone. This feat bestowed him the name "Demon Swordsman" and he was awarded many more recognitions by the militia and was sent to several battlefields.

In Eredora he was reincarnated by God into the body of an 18 yrs old male with no memories of his previous life. When he came too he found himself inside Maismatic Forest in the Eastern Continent with only the memories of his interaction with God after his death.
