Born without arms and deaf, Kazuo was abandoned on a river bank. There he was found and picked up by Yukinosuke and the others, and became part of their troupe. He can draw beautiful pictures by skillfully using his feet. Although he is deaf and cannot speak, he has telepathic abilities and is thus able to understand human speech. He often talks with Sakura telepathically.
