Zain

About

Zain is the first prince of Hanu, and the second-oldest brother of Khalid. He is studying in the country of Natash and only returns to Hanu for brief visits.


After Khalid and Ilya get married, he stages a coup d'état and takes control of Hanu once Khalid is away on duty, plunging the country into starvation and poverty. While he manages to escape after Ilya asks Khalid not to kill him, Zain is killed by an angry mob made up of the families of the soldiers he had had fight his wars or executed for allegedly betraying him.
