Ayumu has been living with his uncle, Yuuichi, for a year, after his mother and grandparents passed away. He is closed off and dislikes it when Yuuichi buys convenience store bentos instead of cooking. Eventually, he begins opening up more to Ryou, though he is still anxious about being abandoned if he's too much of a burden.
