Serge's mother, who died before the beginning of the series. A notably sophisticated gypsy prostitute who eloped with Aslan at seventeen. She previously was the mistress of Marquis Georges-Louis Gargeret. After Aslan's death, she entrusted Serge to Viscount Battour's family. She died of tuberculosis in the mountain village she'd been living in with Aslan and Serge.
