About

Mireille, the protagonist of the story, is an energetic young girl who works in a bread shop that her mother owns. She grew up in a loving single parent family with her twin brother Fredrick until her world was seemingly turned upside down as Fredrick was adopted to a wealthy family.

Mireille first met Richard in the craziest of circumstances when he suddenly appeared in the shop and requested that she would have to act as Fredrick, her twin brother, who happens to be a count of the neighboring Kingdom of Altemaris.

Her first impression of Richard being a very charming and handsome man was shattered when Richard kidnapped her. Eventually she forgives him as she realized that he did everything for her twin brother Fredrick's sake. As time progresses, she finds herself wanting to become closer to Richard as she thought of him to be her only ally inside the royal palace.


Mireille falls in love with Richard due to his kindness. She remains hesitant to convey her feelings as she could not see herself, a girl from a bread shop, next to a Knight of the Royal Order of Altemaris. Her hesitance was also fueled by her assumption that Richard sees her as his little sister, which was albeit true but only at the beginning.
