amazarashi (アマザラシ) is a mysterious band from Aomori Prefecture led by singer Hiromu Akita.
Members:
* Akita Hiromu (秋田ひろむ) - vocals, guitar
* Toyokawa Manami (豊川真奈美) - keyboard, backing vocals
The members have not officially been seen by the public and they perform behind a screen during their concerts. Their music videos often utilize computer graphics.
The music video for "Waiting for the Summer" won the Excellence Award at the 14th Japan Media Arts Festival in 2010. The band was also awarded at Annecy International Animated Film Festival, SIGGRAPH ASIA 2011, and one dot zero 2011 in London.
