Earithen is from Gifu Prefecture, but currently lives in Tokyo. She decided to become a mangaka when she was in her second year of high school, after reading one of Moto Hagio's works. At age 20, she made her debut in Bessatsu Margaret with Ganbaru Onnanoko.
